AD/HD Assessment

AD/HD can easily be misdiagnosed as the core symptoms of inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity often are present for a number of other reasons. In addition, AD/HD is often present with other conditions such as depression, anxiety, oppositional defiance disorder (ODD), and learning disabilities that are also in need of support. A comprehensive assessment by an experienced professional can provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions to develop effective strategies, structures and supports.

Psychological assessment is often covered in part by insurance plans. Please check with your provider to determine your eligibility for reimbursement when you work with an out-of-network provider.

Consultation regarding an AD/HD diagnosis or lack of diagnosis is also available.

AD/HD Assessment for Children and Teens

An assessment for AD/HD for children or teens includes extensive clinical interview with parents and completion of AD/HD assessment instruments, review of school records and any psychological reports, teacher feedback on assessment instruments, clinical observation and interview with child, administration of projective personality assessments. A written report will be provided with specific recommendations and accommodations to address the reason(s) for the assessment.

Cost: $1,200

Note: additional academic and/or intellectual assessment may also be needed.

AD/HD Assessment for Adults

An assessment for AD/HD for adults includes extensive clinical interviews with the individual, clinical interviews with significant others if available, completion of AD/HD assessment instruments, review of school records, clinical observation, and review of performance evaluations or psychological/psychiatric assessments if available. A written report is provided with specific recommendation and accommodations to address the reason(s) for the assessment.

Cost: $1,200
